Assistive Technology Learning

What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive Technology Learning aims to deliver education and training on assistive technology that meets the needs of a wide range of people. As Assistive Technology increases in complexity, those who benefit also have more complex needs and there is an ever increasing need for knowledge in the field.

Over the years the education program has developed to a tiered framework meeting the needs of learners working in the allied health, community and design areas throughout Victoria.

Assistive Technology Learning provides comprehensive education and training for health professionals, carers and other individuals and groups that assist and support people with disabilities and the aging population.

In particular, Assistive Technology Learning focuses on the application of available assistive technology designed to help people with disabilities become, or remain, independent in their daily lives.

Assistive Technology Learning reaches across Victoria, operating on a cost recovery basis only, and is presented by Yooralla’s Independent Living Centre. We have a Sponsorship Program comprising one Platinum, 5 Gold, 4 Silver, 3 Speakers and unlimited Bronze packages, which we traditionally offer health industry suppliers.
