Lunch in Leongatha for donors and the community

The hospitality team from the Leongatha Community Hub held another successful community café recently. This time their lucky guests were over eighty diners, including fourteen locals who regularly donate to Yooralla.
The hospitality team served up Greek beef parcels with quinoa & spinach salad, roasted tomato & vegetable penne pasta bake and chocolate fondant with raspberry sauce as part of the two-course lunch.
Held at the Wildflower Café in Leongatha, the team also catered to community members from Leongatha's Men Shed, the South Gippsland Shire Council Rural Access and Inclusion Committee and the Leongatha Community Garden. This is part of Yooralla's Community Hubs and Support program which encourages community and social participation for Yooralla customers. As part of the program, customers learn all about cooking, food preparation and handling, plating, serving, clearing tables and customer service.
The Hub's hospitality team will be hosting another Community Café on Thursday, 29 June at 12.30pm. If you would like to attend, call 5662 3344 to secure your spot.
