National Reconciliation Week 2017
DATE: 31 May 2017
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to explore how each of us can join the national reconciliation efforts.
This year commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum on the Australian Constitution, and 25th anniversary of the Mabo decision. Prior to the 1967 referendum, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were not recognised as people in the Australian Constitution.
