Recognising National Children’s Week

This week is National Children’s Week, celebrating children’s rights, talents and abilities.

This week is National Children’s Week, celebrating children’s rights, talents and abilities.

Yooralla’s early intervention specialists, physiotherapists, occupational and speech therapists participated in Children’s Week activities and attended two Children’s Week events – City of Casey Children's Week Celebration and Latrobe City Children's Expo (Morwell) – where they met with parents to discuss how Yooralla can support their child’s individual needs.

Yooralla has been supporting children with a disability for almost 100 years. Yooralla began as a kindergarten for children with disability in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, consequently Yooralla is proud to recognise and participate in National Children’s Week.

Today Yooralla’s Specialist Children’s Supports provide therapies and supports for children with developmental delay or disability, recognising the importance of early intervention in building a child’s functional capacity. Our team of specialists can work with children through the early years, and support families by providing tailored assistance, resources and information.

Yooralla’s Specialist Children’s Supports take a family-centred approach to supporting children. This means a team of specialists work together with families to deliver individually tailored services to each child. Learn more about Yooralla's Specialist Children's Supports.
