Website accessibility

As part of our continuing commitment to fair access for all people with disability, this website has been designed to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.

Website: Yooralla (

Date of Review: 10 February 2017

Guidelines: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0

Conformance: LEVEL A and AA

Digital Access at Vision Australia was commissioned to undertake an Accessibility Audit and Post-rectification Review on the Yooralla website. Digital Access conducts all assessments in line with the internationally recognised Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) 1.0.

On 10 February 2017, when the final review was carried out, the Yooralla website satisfied all Level A and Level AA success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 specification.

Digital Access commends Yooralla for the considerable effort they have invested in creating a technically accessible website.

User-based evaluation

The audit conducted by Digital Access also included an abridged User-based Evaluation service. This involved an evaluation of the website by people with disability or age-related impairments, identifying  practical accessibility issues not covered by WCAG 2.0. The Australian Government and Australian Human Rights Commission both strongly endorse User-based evaluation as it considers the needs of end users, not just technical conformance. Issues identified in the User-based evaluation process were also resolved as part of our audit process.
