Community Based Respite
Our Community Respite services give carers of people with disability the opportunity to take a break from their support role. We do this by offering a range of respite services, both in-home and community based, that provide an enjoyable experience for the person they care for.
In Home Respite
In Home Respite is designed to provide both home and community-based respite to the primary carer of a person with disability.
Our service aims to meet the requirements of the person with disability and the carer by being flexible and responsive to individual needs.
We provide carers with the opportunity to take time for themselves, either in or away from the home, while minimising disruptions to family members, especially the person with disability.
Our Recreation team can get people with disability involved in a broad range of fun, adventurous or relaxing activities that can improve physical and mental wellbeing. We also work to increase community participation and build social networks.
Our team has workers with expertise in:
- Community arts
- Community recreation
- Health and fitness
- Holidays and travel
- Outdoor recreation
