15,000 people attend Make it Real Rally

15,000 Australians around the country have sent a message, loud and clear. It's time to Make the NDIS Real.

Canberra responded. Prime Minister Julia Gillard addressed the Sydney rally and announced the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) would be launched in four sites across the country next year, supporting more than 10,000 Australians with a disability.

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott joined passionate campaign supporters in Perth and told the rally "everyone should get a fair go and that's what the National Disability Insurance Scheme is about".

This is great news – but it doesn't stop there. We can 't stop until the NDIS is introduced for everyone, for good.

Who will you sign up to the campaign before Budget day on May 8?

Watch the new Every Australian Counts campaign video which explains why we need to keep strong and keep campaigning.

Your voice has been heard in Canberra – now we need your voice to be heard in every city, in every town, in every community across Australia.

Our nation's leaders understand the need for the NDIS – but we need to make sure the public does too.

We need your help to make this happen. Whatever you can do to get the word out about the NDIS - hand out postcards or sign up supporters.

There's new postcards and sign up sheets to get you started. You can download them from the Every Australian Counts website

The Federal government is due to hand down its annual budget on May 8, so this is our big chance to place pressure on our decision makers and make sure they Make it Real.

Your support is more important than ever. We need to do whatever we can to make sure every Australian hears about the NDIS and our nation's leaders finally make it real.

Did you attend the rally? Make sure you upload your photos to the Every Australian Counts Facebook page from today's so everyone can share your experiences.
