Yooralla welcomes Victorian Government's NDIS announcement
Yooralla has welcomed the Victorian Government's commitment to a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) with a $42 million dollar commitment to a trial location in Victoria’s Barwon region.
The funding means a trial of the NDIS will begin in the City of Geelong, the Borough of Queenscliff, the Surf Coast Shire and the Colac- Otway Shire.
The trial location in the Geelong region means 5000 Victorians living with disability, their family and their carers would receive better care and support, and have the opportunity to trial a NDIS along the lines of the model proposed by the Productivity Commission.
