Don’t miss out on your chance to see ‘Things of Paint & Wood’ at the Meeniyan Art Gallery

The exhibition showcases paintings including those of local flora and fauna, and a selection of woodwork created by the Leongatha Community Hub customers.

Artists from Yooralla’s Leongatha Community Hub have successfully launched their exhibition, ‘Things of Paint & Wood’ at the prestigious Meeniyan Art Gallery last week.

Recent COVID-19 lockdown restrictions postponed the original launch; however, the highly anticipated event was deemed a success when it was able to go ahead on Wednesday 16 June.

The exhibition showcases paintings including those of local flora and fauna, and a selection of woodwork created by the Leongatha Community Hub customers.

Sharon Peattie, Manager at the Leongatha Hub said the launch was well-supported by Yooralla customers and their families and other notable attendees from South Gippsland.

“Other attendees included Leongatha Rotary, Toora Bendigo Bank, and other Yooralla community supporters,” she said.

“Everybody who attended was absolutely amazed at the quality of our customers artwork, with many pieces already being sold,” Sharon said.

You can view some of the customers and their art and woodwork below and visit the exhibition for the rest of the month of June.
