New autism resource for parents

Yooralla staff work together with families to understand a child’s needs and to deliver quality, tailored services to support them to achieve their goals.

Yooralla has new information on our website for parents of children with autism, to support the growing demand for autism information and services under the NDIS.

The NDIS’s 2018-2019 Quarterly report shows that a third of children 0-6 years old with a NDIS plan list autism as their primary disability.

Yooralla’s new information is designed to assist parents about the support available to their child and family. It brings together all of the services Yooralla provides for children with autism.

These services include Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support, Assistance with Daily Living, Recreation, Support Coordination, Communication and Assistive Technology, and more.

Yooralla staff work together with families to understand a child’s needs and to deliver quality, tailored services to support them to achieve their goals.

Yooralla also provides Autism testing for children over two and a half years old, to determine if they meet diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our full day Autism Assessment Clinics are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of clinical psychologists and speech therapists.

If your child receives an autism diagnosis, Yooralla staff can support you through the NDIS process, with comprehensive resources and free advice about the NDIS for your child.

For more information about Yooralla’s support for children with autism, contact us on 03 9666 4500, or yooralla@yooralla.com.au.
