World Physiotherapy Day

World Physiotherapy Day is held every year on 8 September.

On World Physiotherapy Day this year, Yooralla wants to recognise the important role our Physiotherapists play every day in supporting people with disability to achieve their goals and participate in the community.

Yooralla’s Physiotherapists, who are part of the Allied Services and Wellbeing team, provide high quality, evidence-based and person-centred active support to children and adults with disability across Melbourne, to build their capacity and achieve their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) goals.

Key elements of physiotherapy, which is funded as a Capacity Building Support in the NDIS, includes support with the assessment, treatment and physiotherapy management of a customer’s condition.

Yooralla’s Physiotherapists also play an important role in driving and enhancing the clinical effectiveness of physiotherapy provision at Yooralla. World Physiotherapy Day is held every year on 8 September. Read more about Yooralla’s Therapy serviced.

If you are a Physiotherapist and would like to find out more about working at Yooralla, read more here or contact Yooralla’s People and Culture team on 03 9666 4500.
