Yooralla supports PhD scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding candidate interested in exploring how to build and sustain the disability workforce of the future.

Yooralla has partnered with LaTrobe University’s Living with Disability Research Centre to offer a full-time PhD Scholarship opportunity for a candidate to explore cultural diversity in the disability workforce.

The three-and-a-half-year scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding candidate interested in exploring how to build and sustain the disability workforce of the future.

Applicants should have an interest in:

  • Disability support services
  • Cultural diversity, and
  • Direct support practice.

The project will focus on the employment experiences of support workers from culturally diverse backgrounds and strategies for their recruitment, training and retention.

Applications are now open and will close on 30 June 2021.
