Many Australians use one or more mobility aids regularly. This infographic presents the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) statistics on mobility aid use.

Key facts

  • Walking sticks and frames are the most commonly used mobility aids.
  • Manual wheelchairs are more common than scooters or other electric wheelchairs.
  • 2.8% of Australians regularly use one or more mobility aids
