If you’ve ever visited Yooralla’s Independent Living Centre, you will know that there a plethora of aids and equipment that can assist a person with mobility.
Many Australians use one or more mobility aids regularly. This infographic presents the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) statistics on mobility aid use.
- Walking sticks and frames are the most commonly used mobility aids.
- Manual wheelchairs are more common than scooters or other electric wheelchairs.
