Support for children with autism
Providing tailored services for children with autism, recognising the importance of early intervention in building a child’s capacity through their early years.
Yooralla has a team of specialists from different disciplines who can work together with your family and child to understand your child’s needs and deliver quality, tailored services to support them to achieve their goals.
Yooralla provides assessments to determine if children (over 2 and half years old) meet diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to confirm a child’s autism diagnosis. Our Autism Assessment Clinics are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of clinical psychologists and speech therapists.
If your child is diagnosed with autism, you can use this as evidence to provide to the NDIS if you seek support from the NDIS for your child. Yooralla can support you through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) process, with comprehensive resources and free advice.

Yooralla works with children presenting with behaviour of concern, and their support network, to develop strategies that build on the child’s strengths and are based on developing positive relationships, communication and coping skills; and on addressing health, environmental and other impacting factors.
Yooralla provides Assistance with Daily Living support for children with developmental delay and disability in their homes and out in the community. This means we have staff that can support your child with personal care in the home or support them to engage in community activities such as visiting the park, library or a sporting event.
Yooralla can support children to participate in any recreational activities they enjoy. Our holiday programs and camps are a great opportunity for children and young people to learn, make friends and have fun in a fully supported environment. Where possible we group children together with similar needs.
Yooralla provide Support Coordination, which can assist parents to implement their child’s NDIS plan, and coordinate all of their supports. Our team is comprised of people experienced in the NDIS and can work with you to identify the best supports for child’s needs, including obtaining quotes and setting up Service Agreements.
Yooralla can support you at any stage of your child’s NDIS journey. Our free guides can help you understand and make the most of the NDIS. You can also book a free one-on-one discussion with Yooralla if you have any questions about accessing or preparing for the NDIS, or if you need support to understand your child’s NDIS plan.
We support children to enhance their lifestyle and communication through information and access to assistive technologies and equipment, including recommendation of communication devices.
