Free introductory training in disability support

Yooralla is partnering with fellow disability provider Possability to offer a free introductory training program which will help job seekers to understand more about what disability support work involves, and to find out if it is for them.

Applications are now being accepted for a 4-day program starting in February-March 2023 in metropolitan Melbourne, where participants will:

• learn about the types of disability support and person-centred approach
• get the qualifications they need for a disability support role, including first aid, and
• have the opportunity to spend time interacting with people with disability in their home and community environments.

Participants who complete all four days of the program may be offered ongoing opportunities with Yooralla or Possability as a Disability Support Worker.

Later in 2023, Yooralla will also run the program in regional Victoria.
