  • 4 September 2024 - The Australian Government has launched public consultation on the Foundational Supports Strategy, a crucial component of the broader National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Review. Read more.
  • 22 August 2024 - The Australian Parliament has passed the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1), Bill 2024 to establish the framework to enable changes to the NDIS, as recommended by the NDIS review. Read more
  • August 2024 – The Australian Government is currently seeking public feedback on the recently drafted lists of NDIS supports, that detail what will and won’t be funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • 5 June 2024 - The National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) Bill 2024 was passed by the House of Representatives on 5 June 2024. There were further changes proposed by the Federal Government to clarify key elements, which have been agreed to. The Bill will now go on to be considered by the Senate.
  • 27 March 2024 – NDIS amendments Bill submitted to Parliament. Read more about the submission.

The NDIS Amendment Bill 2024

The Australian Government has introduced the NDIS Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No 1) Bill 2024, based on the recommendations of the NDIS Review. When passed by Parliament, the Bill will provide the framework to start improving the NDIS for participants.
