Grease is the word! Get ready for a night of music, dancing and fun

Rehearsals are heating up for this year’s performance of Grease by the Macey Heights Community Hub, and it’s already looking like a real crowd-pleaser.

With toe-tapping tunes, high-energy dance moves, and a whole lot of heart, this show is sure to be the ‘one that you want’!

The performance will feature all the songs we know and love from the original Grease soundtrack, from ‘Summer Nights’ to ‘Greased Lightnin’’, with cast members putting 100% into rehearsals every week. 

“The dancing and singing are a lot of fun, and most importantly, the participants love having the opportunity to be included in such a big show,” says Maria Weller, one of the coordinators of the show.

“[The performers] are especially excited about performing in front of their families and friends, dressing up in costumes, and just having fun on stage,” said Maria. 

The team has been resourceful with their set and costumes – sourcing backdrops, props and outfits from op shops, Marketplace finds, and generous staff donations.

Whether you're a T-Bird or a Pink Lady at heart, this show will leave you singing along.
