About Claire
With over 13 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Claire specialises in working with children aged 0–12 years, supporting them – and their families – to achieve their goals through fun, engaging and personalised therapy.
Claire is part of Yooralla’s broader multi-disciplinary Allied Health team, providing community-based services in homes, schools, childcare centres and other everyday environments. She also helps families navigate and connect with other therapies, offering support along the way.
Claire's family-centred approach
What Claire loves most about her role is working closely with families. She takes the time to really listen and understand what’s important to them – whether it’s helping a child learn to walk, play with their siblings, or build confidence to join in at sport.
Her approach is always family-centred, flexible and grounded in real-life routines. “What works for one family won’t work for another,” Claire says, “so it’s about really getting to know each family and tailoring support around their unique needs.”
Claire has a particular passion for working with children with complex needs. She enjoys the challenge of looking at the bigger picture – considering not just the child, but their family, lifestyle, and long-term goals. As a key worker, she combines her physiotherapy skills with transdisciplinary knowledge to help families build their capacity now and into the future.
A working mum of two boys herself, Claire brings a warm, empathetic touch to everything she does. She knows how important it is to make therapy practical and fun – using songs, games and problem-solving to keep children engaged while achieving meaningful outcomes.
Claire is also a lead therapist in Yooralla’s ‘On the Move’ program, supporting children aged 9 months to 6 years with powered mobility devices. Through this initiative, she helps young children explore their environment in new and exciting ways – often for the first time.
Claire finds so much joy in her work and is driven by the success and progress of the children and families she supports. “We have the flexibility to work at the point of need,” she says. “It’s not just about what we can do in the session – it’s about helping families build towards their future.”
Claire will have capacity for paediatric physiotherapy in the Western suburbs from 1 May 2025. Alongside Claire, we have an incredible team of allied health therapists available to support you or your family member to achieve their goals.
