Taking ‘Giant Steps’ with new program

Yooralla will deliver tailored support for Giant Steps’ after-school care program, as well as a summer school holiday program in January.
We’re pleased to announce that Yooralla has been chosen as the organisation to provide specialist disability support for the out of school hours care program, at Giant Steps Melbourne.
Giant Steps is a specialist school in Kew, in Melbourne’s east, that supports children and young people with Autism from Foundation (Prep) through to Year 12.
The school is recognised for its individualised, holistic approach that empowers students to grow their independence, confidence and sense of belonging.
As the chosen provider, Yooralla will deliver tailored support for Giant Steps’ after-school care program, as well as a summer school holiday program in January.
These programs will create safe and engaging spaces for children and young people to learn, connect and thrive outside of the classroom, while also offering important respite and support for families.

We’re currently recruiting both a Community Access Coordinator and Disability Support Workers to support this exciting new program!
These are wonderful opportunities for people who are passionate about making a difference, and who want to be part of a vibrant and dedicated team providing outside school hours support in a specialist school environment.
