Yooralla expands flu vaccination program to include customers’ immediate families

Yooralla will provide a 2020 flu vaccination for immediate family members of Yooralla customers, as well as for our staff.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is at the centre of every decision Yooralla makes during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

As an additional safeguarding measure during the COVID-19 outbreak, Yooralla is expanding its influenza (flu) vaccination program this year to include customers’ immediate family members.

This means that Yooralla will provide a 2020 flu vaccination for immediate family members of Yooralla customers, as well as for our staff. Yooralla will also facilitate our customers contacting their doctor to arrange the appropriate flu treatment for the customer.

Although the flu vaccine will not prevent COVID-19, it will lower the possibility of contracting Influenza during this winter.

Specialist immunisation nurses will hold mobile clinics for Yooralla’s staff and customers’ families across the following Yooralla services:

In keeping with the social distancing requirements, several of these clinics will operate as drive through. These will include: VASS, Box Hill Hub, Noble Park Hub, and the St Alban’s Hub.

For the Carnegie and Cranbourne offices there will be a waiting area inside the building; social distancing must still be maintained.

Immediate family members of Yooralla’s customers should make their appointment now. Yooralla has not yet been able to arrange a customer family vaccination facility in regional areas; if that becomes possible regional customers will receive further advice.
