Yooralla Hub customers to exhibit art at prestigious Meeniyan art gallery

Artists from Yooralla’s Leongatha Community Hub have been invited to exhibit their art and woodwork at the prestigious Meeniyan Art Gallery during the month of June.

Through our connections in the local community, Yooralla has been fortunate enough to be offered one of the highly sought-after exhibition spaces.

The exhibition, titled ‘Things of Paint & Wood’, will showcase paintings including those of local flora and fauna, and a selection of woodwork created by the Leongatha Community Hub customers.

“We are proud of what our Yooralla customers have created for the exhibition, through the programs here at the Hub,” said Vanessa Holness, Community Development worker at the Leongatha Community Hub.

“We are very lucky to be offered one of the gallery rooms in the space through our strong community connections,” added Sharon Peattie, Service Manager.

The exhibition will officially open on Friday 4 June at 11.00am, where the Leongatha artists and wood workers will be in attendance, joined by local community members.
