A weekend of art in Mansfield
It was a busy weekend in November at the Mansfield Community Hub, as they opened their doors not only to showcase the amazing Hub, but also to visitors participating in Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST).
It was a busy weekend in November at the Mansfield Community Hub, as they opened their doors not only to showcase the amazing Hub, but also to visitors participating in Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST).
MOST is an annual event where visitors are invited into studios, stores and more across the town, where they can see practical demonstrations, view, and purchase artworks directly from the artists – such as those at our Community Hub.
There were 13 artists from Yooralla who exhibited artwork at the Hub, which included framed artwork, photography & textiles, with 15 pieces sold over the weekend.

MOST was an excellent occasion to draw people to the Hub, as well as the very successful open day held on the same weekend.
At the open day, visitors had the chance to meet the wonderful staff and to check out what supports and programs are on offer, including cooking and healthy living, drama, art and plenty of other social and recreational activities.
“Visitors to the Hub included people from the local community and visitors to Mansfield for the long weekend,” said Suzanne Green, Assistant Service Leader at Mansfield Community Hub.
“The weekend provided many opportunities for Yooralla artists to exhibit work around Mansfield and to show off the Mansfield Community Hub,” Suzanne said.
The work of our artists was also celebrated in recognition of International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), with a special display of the artwork created by clients at the Mansfield Community Hub on display at Mansfield Visitor Information Centre.
"We celebrate their talent diversity and thank them for allowing is to display their work and encourage you to come and have a look," said a Mansfield Shire Council representative.
