Celebrating International Day of Friendship with a high tea feast!

On 30 July we celebrate International Day of Friendship – a day to encourage friendships between people, countries and cultures to inspire connection and peace efforts.

It’s also a great time to celebrate the many wonderful friendships we have across Yooralla.

Our Drouin Community Hub decided to do just that by getting together and enjoying a high tea lunch, prepared by the Hospitality program participants!

Our Hospitality program at the Drouin Community Hub is delivered in partnership with TAFE Gippsland and provides an opportunity for our clients to learn all about food preparation and practical hospitality skills.

The Hospitality team whipped up a delicious high tea spread for all to enjoy – think scrolls, sandwiches, muffins, scones and more. The lunch feast was then served to all of the Drouin Hub participants.

“A great lunch was had by all!” said Sally-Anne, Acting Service Manager.

The Hospitality program is just one of the programs you can participate in at our Community Hubs. We have Community Hubs across Victoria, where people with disability can receive the support they require, meet new friends and get out in their local community, all while learning new skills.
