At Yooralla, our short-term accommodation services (also referred to as Respite) provides you, or the person you care for, with a home away from home.
You can ‘take a break’ from the every day and know that NDIS goals can be achieved in a safe, friendly, and fun environment.
Short-term accommodation offers many benefits. It allows carers and people with a disability some time out, and provides the opportunity for new and different experiences - like meeting new people or trying out new activities. We can provide support for a few hours a day, overnight, or for several weeks. And, if short-term accommodation doesn’t suit, we can offer respite support in your own home.
Our short-term accommodation homes are located in Reservoir and Box Hill. They are purpose-built, fully accessible and fitted with all appropriate assistive technologies. Our staff are highly trained and can provide some great experiences tailored to you or your child’s interests. From fun activities like karaoke, arts and crafts, gardening, movie nights (of course with freshly made popcorn!), to life skill activities like cooking, personal care, money management and day-to-day living skills.
