Pirate party sets sail at Mansfield Community Hub!
Our Mansfield Community Hub recently celebrated social connection with a Pirate Party. The event was filled with fun, food and fantastic costumes.
Our Mansfield and Benalla Community Hub clients recently celebrated social connection with a pirate party. The event was filled with fun, food and fantastic costumes.
Last week, Yooralla’s Mansfield Community Hub was transformed into a pirate's paradise, complete with salty sea dogs (hot dogs), seaweed slice (zucchini slice) and the much-loved Jolly Roger jelly. It was great to see so many people dressed as pirates, catching up with friends and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Clients are actively involved in brainstorming ideas for themes, creating props and planning the menu - making each event a collaborative effort.
Luke and Jordan stole the show on the karaoke machine, ensuring everyone danced and sang to their heart's content. Jordan said he enjoyed the Jelly Rodger jelly, dressing up and the music the most. Client Leah loved talking to her friends, enjoying the food and dancing the night away.
Jenny shared her excitement, saying "It was good dressing up, having fun, and eating yum food! Winning a prize was great too."
"It was really good everyone dressing up and it was good that I won a prize," echoed Jayne.
The night was a tremendous success, with clients already buzzing about the next event. Mansfield and Benalla Community Hubs try to hold these amazing themed parties every three months, as they’re a great way for clients to engage in social activities, meet new people from different Hubs and build social connection and communication skills.

The Pirate Party was a testament to the vibrant community spirit at our Mansfield Hub. We look forward to more exciting events and can't wait to see what theme our clients come up with next!
