Yooralla receives Public Advocate’s Award 2021
Yooralla is honoured to have received the prestigious Public Advocate’s Award 2021 for safeguarding human rights and making a positive difference in the lives of and people with disability.
Yooralla was honoured to be recognised by the OPA for the steps we have taken to improve service quality, our focus on respect and protection and our outstanding contribution for improving the lives and outcomes for people with disability.
The Victorian Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) provides services to protect and promote the rights, interests and dignity of people with disability living in Victoria.
The award was presented on 23 February 2021 by Public Advocate Colleen Pearce, to Dr Sherene Devanesen, Yooralla Chief Executive Officer and Jennifer Williams AM, Board Chair.
In recognition of our contribution, Yooralla was gifted an original artwork by Robert Croft, a non-verbal and vision impaired artist, known for the tactile quality of his work.
You can view the original artwork below and more artwork from Robert Croft here.
This award would not have been possible without the dedication of Yooralla employees, and we extend our thanks to each of you for your invaluable contribution to the organisation.
