Together@Yooralla keeping Leongatha Community Hub connected

Customers from Leongatha Community Hub connecting online through Together@Yooralla

Yooralla has established Together@Yooralla, a new online program to bring customers together and keep them connected during COVID-19.

Customers are learning and interacting with others through a range of online programs including; literacy skills, communication, music and dance, and resources that are accessed from home via smart phones, iPads and televisions through Chromecast.

There are currently 27 customers at Leongatha Community Hub who are staying connected through the Together@Yooralla program, with between 70-80 log ins to the program per week since being rolled out to Community Hubs on May 4.

Customers have been enjoying a variety of programs, such as numeracy/literacy, a social group, music and singing, hospitality, animal group and everything 90’s.

“The programs have received very positive feedback from both the customers and their families. Our Yooralla staff source programs content and deliver it in a fun, interactive environment,” says Vanessa Holness, Community Development Manager at the Hub.

“Together@Yooralla is a place for learning, social interactions and keeping our customers connected.  In a time where customers can feel isolated from their peers and their community this has become a valuable part of many of our customers week,” she said.
