Improving health and wellbeing for a good cause at the Mother’s Day Classic

The ladies from our ‘Organised Crew’ joined the sea of tens of thousands of Australians who came together in a sea of pink, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research during the Mother’s Day Classic walk on 8 May.

The ‘Organised Crew’ as they dubbed themselves, signed up for the event “as part of our Admin team’s health and wellbeing, coming out of a tough 2 years of COVID,” said Martha.

“The event ticked all the boxes. We could get outside of the work environment, get to know each other in a more casual setting and enjoy fundraising for a good cause at the same time,” said Martha.

The conditions on Mother’s Day were perfect for an enjoyable walk!

“We walked at a steady pace and it took us around 45 minutes all up [to complete the track]. Some of us went home to continue their Mother’s Day celebrations and the rest went for lunch together and out shopping.”

“It was a great day, resulting in a closer Admin support team!” said Martha.

Congratulations on your participation in the event ladies and for your contribution to vital breast cancer research!
