Christmas comes (very) early to the Ferntree Gully Community Hub
The clients were glittering more brightly than Christmas trees, dressed in their best tinsel and a groovy, light up beanie that was the star of the week.
The halls of the Ferntree Gully Community Hub were decked out for Christmas in July celebrations.
Jessica Silver, Manager of the Ferntree Gully Hub said that the “clients had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas in July.”
Clients came together at the hub to begin the week and join a chorus of carols. Wearing their most festive attire, the clients put on a show full of Christmas spirit. Carols were sung and clients bopped along to all their favourite seasonal songs.
“Picking Christmas songs was a fun favourite activity of the week,” Jessica said.
On Wednesday, the Ferntree Gully Community Hub hosted a day of arts and crafts. Glitter and stickers were flying as clients showed off their creative flair, crafting some fabulously festive Christmas decorations.
Clients shared a scrumptious Christmas lunch to wrap up their fun Christmas in July week.
“The food was great,” Jessica said.
Complete with a roast turkey and of course a delicious trifle for dessert “eating all the yummy food was a highlight of the week for many clients.”
Everyone at the Ferntree Gully Community hub is looking forward to having many more opportunities to dress up and celebrate together in the coming months, including a big Halloween celebration coming up in October!
